Moomin Summer Spoon 2020 – Mama

The seasonal spoon for summer 2020 continues the Moomins’ summer adventure, and it reminds us how you can spend a summer day carelessly lazing outdoors.

The illustration of Arabia’s Moomin spoon for the summer season is based on Tove Jansson’s comic book “Moomin Valley Turns Jungle”, which was published in English in 1956. Only made as a limited set.

Year 2020 marks the 75-year anniversary of
 Tove Jansson publishing her first Moomin
 novel. To celebrate the anniversary, the summer set is involved in the #OURSEA campaign organised by Moomin Characters to raise one million euros for the conservation of the Baltic Sea.
 For each Summer mug sold 1 € will be donated to John Nurminen Foundation, a Finnish maritime organization with
 a mission to save the Baltic Sea and its heritage
 for future generations.

Ice Cream Cutlery Set

Tove and Lars Jansson’s original drawings have been transferred to Hackman’s Moomin products thanks to Tove Slotte. She has completed the drawings that were limited by cartoon frames, added the measurements to suit knifes, forks and spoons, when necessary, she has drawn missing characters.

The ice cream set comprises an ice cream scoop and 2 long spoons – Snorkmaiden & Little My.
